SAAFE Research Internship Program (2024)
Applications are currently open for the 2024 Scholarship AINSE ANSTO French Embassies (SAAFE) Research Internship Program. The SAAFE Program supports early career researchers at PhD and Postdoctoral level to expand research and innovation activities within Human Health, the Environment and the Nuclear Fuel Cycle, to initiate sustainable research networks and linkages to support Australia, New Zealand and France research and innovation.

Agreement to bolster Australian French scientific collaboration with SAAFE scholarship program
Improving the radiation tolerance of microelectronics for space
A team of Melbourne researchers and international partners from Italian Instituto Nazionale de Fisica Nucleare (INFN) and CERN, who are developing radiation-hardened semiconductor chips, used the unique state-of-art high energy ion microprobe on the SIRIUS ion accelerator at ANSTO’s Centre for Accelerator Science to test a prototype radiation-resistant computer chip
