Accountable person for the RF systems, responsible for to meet the performance criteria’s, reliability, OHS and regulatory compliance, maintenance, initiating and managing operational upgrades and improvements.
A proven Radio Frequency (RF) engineer with international experience in project lead, design, testing, commissioning and acceptance of high-power RF systems at various scientific and radio broadcasting facilities.
Expertise
Technical expertise from HV incoming fields, mains distribution all the way to RF conversion in tube or solid-state technology, transmission, loads, low level RF system, supervision, and controls.
Qualifications & Achievements
- Engineering Degree in Electrotechnics, Zurich University of Applied Sciences Winterthur Switzerland. Specialised in telecommunication and software.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, Management School St Gallen Switzerland
- Apprenticeship in Electromechanics, ABB Zurich Switzerland.
- Successful delivery of RF systems and upgrades for the AS including studies into RF systems, design, contract specifications, system evaluation, FAT, commissioning and SAT.
- Successful design, testing, commissioning, and acceptance of the Storage Ring RF amplifier systems for the Canadian, Shanghai, Daresbury Laboratory UK and Swiss Synchrotron facility.
- Successful commissioning of a prototype gyrotron pulsed 160kV/160A power supply for Wendelstein W7X at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Germany.
- Dissertation Market Analysis Semiconductor Regulated High Voltage Power Supplies (HVPS) for the Scientific Market using the ABB patented crowbar less Pulse Step Modulation (PSM) technology.
