Role at ANSTO
Dr Josh King is an instrument scientist for the QUOKKA small-angle neutron scattering instrument (SANS). Prior to joining ANSTO, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at The University of New South Wales with Dr Anna Wang investigating the origins of stable cell propagation using artificial cells. He undertook his doctoral research in the Soft Materials and Colloids Laboratory with Dr Rico Tabor at Monash University where he explored the relationship between nanostructure and dynamic properties of complex fluids.
His research interests are focused on soft materials, including lipid vesicles and nanoparticles, surfactant micelles, and particulate dispersions.
Expertise
Small-angle neutron scattering, rheology, interferometry, surface and interface science.
