Dale Codling leads a team at ANSTO that is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and security of research facilities capable of handling nuclear and radioactive materials. He has a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Western Sydney University, understanding the interaction of molecules in mixed solution systems by measuring diffusion properties using nuclear magnetic resonance Dale is a descendent of the Barkindji people of the Darling River region of Western NSW. He Chairs the Indigenous Outreach Committee at ANSTO; one of the purposes of the committee is to connect the modern scientific techniques available at ANSTO with the traditional knowledge and science of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
