Dr. Qinfen Gu leads the Powder Diffraction beamline team at the Australian Synchrotron, ANSTO, and serves as an Honorary Principal Fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Melbourne.
Role at ANSTO
Dr. Gu is highly experienced in diffraction and scattering techniques, as well as in the design of instruments and sample environments. His research spans energy storage materials (such as hydrogen storage materials, battery and supercapacitor materials, and photocatalysts), metal-organic frameworks, zeolites, and materials under extreme conditions (high pressure and high temperature). He has co-authored over 400 peer-reviewed journal publications and secured multiple grants from the Australian Research Council (ARC).
